Strawberry Overnight Oats

I know you don’t want to read 7 paragraphs about the mighty oat. We both know they are healthy and satisfying. This recipe is about 380 calories (without the optional sliced almonds) and 22.6 grams of protein (with the soy milk (9 grams) and protein powder (6.5 grams). If you omit the soy milk, you will greatly reduce the amount of protein in this meal. This recipe also contains 9.4 grams of fibre!

Strawberry Overnight Oats

This Recipe Serves 1

Base:

1/2 cup rolled oats

1 tbsp cup chia seeds

1 cups unsweetened soy milk ( or milk of choice)

1 tsp maple syrup

1 tbsp strawberry jam

1/4 cup strawberries

1/3 scoop of vanilla protein power (optional)

Toppings:

Mixed berries

Sliced almonds

Directions

1. Place all base ingredients into a large glass container and mix until combined.

2.Cover the glass container with a lid or plastic wrap. Place in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight.

3.Toppings can be added the night before or immediately before serving.

Uncover and enjoy from the glass container the next day. Thin with a little more milk or water, if desired.
